A. N. Clark & Co., Hartford, 1866. Book is in Fair condition: front hinge weak; front free end page loose; foxing; boards and spine worn and scraped; corners bumped and worn through; pencilled handwritten notes about some of the names in the Fifth Regiment Infantry and the Twentieth Regiment Infantry, but rest of book has no writing. The pencilled handwriting primarily specifies city names next to names of the soldiers, suggesting updated locations for those persons. In addition, there is a handwritten notation in pencil as follows, with an arrow pointing to the name of George W. Corliss (who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1897 for his heroism in 1862): "New York, Consult 'New York Sun' & New Haven Register about a Boarding House scandal - in which this person was concerned - " (Note: This quoted writing isn't entirely legible, but this appears to be what it says.)
