Exposition Press, New York, 1969. Inscribed by author on front free end page as follows: "Best wishes to Ernest [signed] Clyde Owen Jackson". Stated 1st edition. Hard copy. Book is in Very Good condition: bumped corners; small chip on rear paste-down; spine slightly cocked; one page dogeared; binding is tight, and pages are clean. Dust jacket is in Good condition: chips and tears on edges and one small hole between front cover and flap; not price-clipped. From the dust jacket: "This book is a forceful, compassionate plea to every American, black and white, to cast aside racism and bigotry that we may become one united nation. Should this not be done, and done soon, Clyde Owen Jackson sees America divided into two hostile camps and its strength tragically weakened."
