1 America Singing: A Yearly Book of Verse Williams, Loring Eugene
Cleveland, Ohio, U. S. A. America Singing 1935 Apparent 1st Edition Hard Copy Very Good No Jacket Signed By One of the Poets
America Singing, Cleveland, 1935. Apparent 1st edition. Inscribed on front free end page by one of the included poets as follows: "For Bob & Marge Cook Especially for your West India Cruise - [signed] Caroline Parker Smith P. S. Stilll going strong! January 6th 1936." Book is in Very Good condition: tanning from age on end pages; foxing on some pages; fading on boards and spine; bumped corners; binding is tight and pages are clean; not ex-library. No dust jacket. Includes one poem each by 112 poets. From the Foreword: "Again, we are proud to present to the reading public the work of a representative group of American poets who, we feel, are writing verse which is worthy of nationwide recognition . . . . Many of those represented in this book have collections of their own poems in print. While we cannot list them all, we do want to mention a few who have had groups of their poems published in the past year. It is not surprising to find the name of Caroline Parker Smith on the list of a prominent New York publisher . . . ."
