105 pages. The Cedar Tree Press, 1995. Signed by the Author on the title page (flat-signed, meaning that the author signed the book but did not inscribe it to any person). The 1st printing was of 800 copies; this is the 2nd printing of 1,000 copies. Book is in Very Good condition: bubble in one place on front board and front board does not lie quite flat; gift inscription in ink on page facing the title page. From the Introduction: "Here we survey the entire northern Delaware county and discover that there once were at least 26 covered bridges within New Castle County. Now considered a quaint reminder of bygone times, these bridges played an important part in the economic growth of the northern part of our state." Chapter titles are "New Castle County's Covered Bridge History; Building a Covered Wooden Bridge; Brandywine Creek; Red Clay Creek; White Clay Creek; One of a Kind Covered Bridges; The Art of the Covered Bridge".
