Issued in connection with an exhibition of the artist's work in 2003. From the Foreword: "This monograph on Arie Aroch . . . is almost a catalogue raisonne in its scope . . . .In view of the great importance of Aroch's oeuvre, the aim of the exhibition and the monograph is, in many senses, to preserve this oeuvre from mystification. If a myth already attaches to Aroch, it has to be transformed into a living myth, one that makes it possible to discover new relevance in his work every time, like the light of a ray that arrives at a point of time in the present from a star that has already vanished somewhere in the distant past." Profusely illustrated, mostly in color, with many full-page plates.

3 Michael Gross Omer, Mordechai
Jerusalem, Israel The Genia Schreiber University Art Gallery Tel Aviv University 1993 Hard Copy Very Good Very Good 4to - over 9" - 12" tall
The Genia Schreiber University Art Gallery Tel Aviv University, Jerusalem, 1993. Hard copy. Book is in Very Good condition: bumped corners; bump on bottom edge; front board doesn't lie quite flat; binding is tight and square, and pages are clean and bright. Dust jacket is in Very Good condition: light rubbing on edges; tiny tear at bottom of spine; small chip and scratch on rear of cover. From the dust jacket: "This monograph attempts to discuss Michael Gross's profound interest in man and his physical and spiritual environment. Gross's expresssion ranges between extreme contrasts, and brings together a soft lyricism and expressive outbursts, which correspond to the nature of the experience and the concatentation of feelings and responses which follow in its wake. In his works one can find, side by side, images that are essentially mimetic-figurative, and conceptual elements that are on the verge of abstraction, like kinds of objective ciphers which were born from his subjectivity in processes of distillation and refinement."
